Action for week starting 7.6.21 – Reject $600m spend on gas power station

Federal government plans to spend $600 million taxpayers money on GAS power station

The federal government is proposing to spend $600 million of taxpayers money to build a massive new gas power station in Kurri Kurri NSW.

The Climate Council has drafted a science-backed submission to the Environmental Impact Statement for this development, calling on the NSW Government to reject it on the grounds of its significant climate and environmental effects.

The council is asking as many of us as possible to sign on to the submission to demonstrate strong public opposition to the power station.
